What is PBT filament?

    1.    Core Composition: PBT monofilament is crafted primarily from polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), characterized by a density of 1.3-1.4 g/cm³ and a melting point around 220-230°C.

    2.    Product Characteristics: Renowned for its excellent strength, elasticity, resistance to fatigue, and solvents, PBT is particularly sensitive to alkalis, making it ideal for use in specialty tapered filaments for various brushes.

    3.    Filament Production: Through a process called melt spinning, PBT is transformed into tapered filaments with finely eroded tips, designed for precision in brushes used in dental, cosmetic, and art applications.

    4.    Material Traits: PBT, a robust type of polyester, incorporates benzene rings and ester groups in its structure, offering greater hardness than nylon.
